These next four pictures are all of the same kitten. Her name is Mimi and she is the runt of her litter. Born from a mommy feral cat, Mimi is pretty people friendly despite her situation. She is one of ten other kittens, but she is special because she made an attempt to reach out to us. Sadly, since Mimi is living outside with the rest of the feral cats, she does have fleas and a chance of not being spayed her whole life. Right now we are in the process of trying to find a good home for her and helping her become more healthy. With any luck, she will flourish in a good home.

As far as we know, Mimi isn't carrying any serious diseases beyond the possibility of tapeworms, which is common in most kittens with fleas. She may have a slight respiratory infection, but she seems to be improving each day. Despite her size, we think Mimi is somewhere between 4-5 weeks. She is a bit slower than the other kittens when it comes to eating and the changing of her eye color. Yet, everyday she seems to take another tiny step forward.

Update: Unfortunately, Mimi's health worsened and she passed away Sunday evening, 7-12-2009 at 11:56 PM. Although her time with us was short, the memories will last forever. Thanks to everyone who wished Mimi would find a good home.
